Changes of Physical and Mechanical Properties of Coral Reef Limestone under CO2–Seawater–Rock Interaction

Large amounts of anthropogenic CO2 in the atmosphere are taken up when ocean alters seawater carbonate system, which could have a significant impact on carbonate-rich sediments. Coral reef limestone is special biogenic carbonate, mainly composed calcium carbonate. When rocks brought into contact with weak acid solution, they will be dissolved, may affect physical and mechanical properties rock. In this paper, chemical interactions between CO2, framework structure were studied based an experiment conducted hydrothermal reactor.
